The Wildcat Creek Watershed Alliance, Inc. (WCWA) has been awarded a 319 grant to implement the Best Management Practices (BMPs) identified in the 2003 Little Wildcat Creek Watershed Management Plan (WMP).  Grant funds are made available through the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s (IDEM) Non-point Source Pollution Management Program.

 The WCWA will use these funds to develop and implement a cost-share program to assist

landowners within the watershed reestablish healthy riparian corridors, implement filter strips, or stabilize eroding streambanks.

The grant will also fund an educational and outreach program in the Little Wildcat Creek Watershed.  These efforts include a stakeholder survey, brochures and workshop focusing on residential septic system maintenance, streambank restoration.  

The WCWA has a contract with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd to implement this grant on their behalf.
